From Denver Police Department: As we get ready to celebrate the 4th of July, please be reminded that fireworks are illegal in Denver. As you prepare for the holiday, we want to remind you to celebrate safely. If you want to report the use, possession or sale, of fireworks, you can do so by calling the city’s fireworks hotline at 720-913-2059. In order for an officer to take an action, i.e. cite those using, possessing or selling fireworks, you will need to agree to meet with the responding officer and be willing to sign a complaint. If your fireworks complaint involves a fire, an injury or an altercation, please call 911. Lastly, please refrain from discharging weapons as part of your celebration. Celebratory gunfire is not only extremely dangerous, but it’s illegal. Wishing Everyone a Safe and Fun 4th of July!
