Whether it’s a result of the crazy weather of Colorado or the rapidly changing neighborhood we live in there always seems to be construction going on. With that comes extra trailers, dumpsters and workers cars lining our streets. It is perfectly legal for them to park anywhere on the street, however please try to be respectful to your neighbors if you are having work done on your house. You can do this by asking the companies you hire to park on a side street if it is not a vehicle they need regularly for the job. This will allow you and your neighbors more room to park in front of your houses. If a new home is being built, get to know the general contractor to work out parking for them as well.
It is also a good idea to get to know the general contractor and/or site supervisor in case there are any problems with the constructions crews. If problems can’t be resolved by speaking with the workers and contractors, then report your issues to 311 either by phone or pocketgov.org.
