The Park People’s Denver Digs Trees tree adoption program is back for its 40th year. Do you have a spot for a tree? They have 12 varieties of high-quality, locally-adapted trees to choose from in a range of sizes and features. Trees cost $10-35, with free trees available to those who qualify. Apply early for the best selection. Apply here! Applications close February 15th.
Join The Park People to spread the word about their free and low-cost tree adoption program, Denver Digs Trees. They will walk the neighborhood hanging doorhangers. Canvass volunteers meet up with the Canvass Lead, who will provide training, supplies, maps, and breakfast treats. Canvassing is a critical part of The Park People’s work to increase tree plantings in low-canopy areas and grow our urban forest equitably. On January 21, they’ll be “knocking and talking” with residents; and on January 28, you can choose to hang doorhangers OR “knock and talk.” Sign up to volunteer here!
