We are very pleased to launch a new video series of short videos designed to help you “Get to Know Your Community.” Check back here on our website, or Facebook, Twitter, NextDoor, or YouTube for new episodes every few weeks. We would also love to hear your suggestions for future video topics.
In this first video, we thought addressing the Neighborhood Watch program, including how you can get involved, would be a good place to start. Having a strong neighborhood watch program has shown to reduce crime in neighborhoods. In fact, burglaries in District 3 have dropped 33% in the first half of this year. The Washington Park East neighborhood has worked diligently with Denver’s District 3 Police Department to strengthen its program.
This informative video interview with neighborhood lead, Darci Davenport Barlow and resident and WPENA volunteer, Leslie Beck MacRossie, provides what you need to know to get involved with your neighborhood watch program!
